Hi everyone, we have again been asked to provide help with the water station this year. We know a number of members enjoy helping on this day and it’s an early part of the morning, but it will be over to allow all of you to go to your normal Mother’s Day appointments. We would appreciate if you could advise your availability as we need to know numbers to ensure we have enough members etc, so if you could indicate if you are unable or able to help. Please invite family or friends as well. We will be in the same location as last year. • South Side of the Torrens, near Jolley’s Boathouse. • Time approx. 7.00am Finish 10.30/11.00am depends on numbers. They are hoping to offer some parking. Still to be notified if they are able to arrange an alternative. You might say why we can’t park in the Torrens Parade grounds, because the State Government have taken over the Parade Ground & they are going to charge the organisers for the parking etc. So, we will need to find some alternative parking, or we carpool with minimum cars to park somewhere close to the Boathouse. We could find a no charge location, meet there & use minimum cars to the Boathouse. We have also been asked to provide 2 members to help at the University Bridge as guides, we usually have a few members extra once we are set up. Final details to be closer to the event |
