Fourth Creek is always a great place to keep clean. You could start near Stradbroke Rd and work downstream? Some of these areas can be a bit steep or rocky underfoot so you would need to be careful. Dogs are allowed in the area but they must be on leash, as they are in most areas. 

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The 2025 theme is Accelerate Action.

Miriam Silva AM Miriam is an experienced board director and CEO and has more than 25 years’ experience managing large and geographically diverse teams across multiple industries including pharmaceuticals, banking and agribusiness. Miriam sits on a number of boards and committees including Chair InTouch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence, Chair Contemporary Arts Precincts, Trustee for the William Buckland Foundation, Director of AMES, and the Art Gallery of South Australia. Miriam is Patron for the International Women’s Day Committee (SA) and is the Multicultural Patron for The SA Police Training Academy. In 2022, Miriam was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM). In 2012 Miriam was named as one of Australia’s inaugural 100 Women of Influence in the Westpac and AFR Awards. Miriam is a member of the SA Women’s Honour Roll (2011) and the recipient of the 2012 Governor’s Multicultural Award for the Private Sector.

The 2025 breakfast will be supporting inTouch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence. InTouch works across the family violence continuum, providing culturally-informed case management, perpetrator programs, a fully accredited community legal centre and specialised migration assistance, crisis recovery, learning and development programs and enhanced capacity-building projects across the sector and community.

Joint meeting with Rotary Club of Lightview. Meeting starts at 6.30 pm with Drinks and Nibbles meeting starts at 7.00 pm.  There is no meal included. 

The Governor has agreed to unveil the ANZAC seats in The Gums on Tuesday 18^th March at 6pm. It would be great if as many members can attend and wearing club shirts.

NAAZ recommend their set menu based on dietary preferences and to have the selected dish to be available on table, then the individual payment would be possible and for the quicker order distribution.

Mr Stephen Pallaras KC was Director of Public Prosecutions in South Australia from 2005-2012 at which time he prosecuted some of the state’s most vicious and desperate criminals.

Prior to this Stephen had a distinguished career as a Barrister at the Victorian Bar 1975-1984 and from 1984-1994 Stephen was appointed as the Senior Crown Counsel (Hong Kong) and Team Leader in Extradition. On his return to Australia from Hong Kong he was appointed as the Prosecutor and Acting Director of Public Prosecutions for W.A. from 1994-2002 and from 2002-2005 practiced as Barrister at the W.A. and Hong Kong Bars.

Following his time as DPP in S.A. Stephen expanded his experience through a wide variety of positions:

·       Adjunct Professor of Law, University of South Australia

·       Judge of the High Court and Court of Appeal, Solomon Islands

·       Consultant to Secretariat of the Pacific Community Regional Rights Resource Team and the United Nations Development Programme on Human Rights and Domestic Violence

·       Lecturer in Law (Terrorism & Corruption) Zhongnan University Wuhan, China and Beijing University, Beijing.

·       Vice President of International Association of Prosecutors (IAP)

·       Member of Executive Committee of International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (IAACA)

All of the above experience enables Stephen to speak on a wide variety of topics that will no doubt be of great interest .
